Lens paint

Just repainted my drivers side rear blinker lens, I did the passenger side a while back & it has held up pretty good.
I used a model car lens paint, I brush it on & you need to be slow & it go's on streaky & probably work better with a hobby spray gun.

Which Alternator HT v8?

took my alternator in to the auto electricians to replace. Apparently they don't just bolt in anymore. Mine is an old style with the pronged plastic pin at the top with an external regulator and will need some wiring done because the new ones only have an internal regulator. I don't know electric stuff but just wanted to know is the the best way these days? Apparently better and more reliable. They don't rebuild them anymore apparently

Not Holden but a PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

My boss has a 4yo Mazda CX5 diesel with 115000 on the clock, it went into limp mode & within a few hundred metres it had started crapping itself & pretty much gave up the goast.
He contacted Mazda & arranged for it to be dropped off at a local dealer, upon dropping off the car the Manager that had spoken to had admitted that were aware of an issue regarding the "oil pump" being faulty & cloggs up depriving the engine of oil pressure.

FJ service information

Hi Guys,

Im not a car guy..I build and fly recreational aircraft. So I guess, I know how to use tools, and are quite competent with maintaining two aircraft myself. etc.

I need some info or help with an FJ.

So can some one point me in the right direction to drop the oil and service an old FJ business sedan. I believe the car has no oil filter..is that right..? and an oil bath air filter(something I know nothing about).

The car is in good condition and had a ground up resto about 12 years ago...and has been driven about 5000 miles in that time.

UC starfire 4 stall problems

Hi. Have a UC sunbird. Have just spend $1000s on it mechanically and body and interior are spec. Does well driving initially but after time (or when to come home) it can just stall when slowing at traffic lights or even to turn corner. It’s an auto. Is it possible this could be a fuel filter problem? Carby was reco’d only 500kms ago as it had bad fuel at some point. The fuel tank has also recently been drained and removed for rust/paint work. It’s like it just runs out of petrol but has full tank??

How do you fix a broken WB mirror?

I have a broken driver's side WB Statesman exterior mirror.
Annoying because I just bumped it in the garage. The hollow bolt is broken because the mirror body is loose.
I have a spare mirror and will use its hollow bolt to replace the broken one on the car. That spare mirror is already taken apart a bit so I can see what needs to be done with the mirror I'm fixing.
The hard bit is where the cables go through the mirror base plate. They have tiny cable stoppers or swages.
