Hello,
I’m trying to find out how to tighten the pivot point up that’s inside a HQ-HZ GTS mirror but so far I’ve come up blank ?? I’m hoping someone can help as every time I close either the drivers and/or passenger door the glass mirror moves and need to be readjusted !? I’ve come down to carrying a thin piece of bamboo to reposition the passenger mirror but it soon moves out of place anyway !?
I’m sure there must be a way but it’s got me beat at the moment so I’m hoping that the brains trust of oldholden.com must have an answer for me, fingers crossed ?! ‘Many Thanks’ !!

Maybe this one is for Dr Terry.
Were the HK Holden's exported to any countries that would have required them to be fitted with a metric speedometer?

Hi
Does anyone know what the height/gaps are for setting up the steering idler on a HG Holden.
The shop manual tells how to set the distance between the face of the idler and idler bracket but no info on how far to screw the end in that goes into the draglink to get it to the right height, any help much appreciated.

Hi
Trying to figure out approximately when my car was built. I find it a funny thing today to not be able to trace back to a build date for something as substantial as a car, but then again times were simpler in so many ways back then....
Motor and gearbox have been swapped out. Unknown regarding steering column so won't trust whatever that number says.
Chassis ID is HR73814M so I know it's from Melbourne and I know there were a tad over 250k built in total but not sure when ~74k from Melbourne would put it date wise...
Cheers for any help.
