Changing engine mounts ej holden

Thinking of changing my engine mounts on my ej, have changed the front before but never the rear.

Can I change the rear ones easy enough without needing to lift the engine.I haven't got equipment for lifting it, but was wondering if it is possible to jack it up from underneath and use blocks of wood to protect the sump.

Anyone know the process?

Testbench 202 not starting. Ignition issue/No spark.

Hi fellas.
I've just setup a 202 on a testbench frame and looking to get this thing firing up. For whatever reason I've got no spark. I've even changed distributors and coils from a running vehicle and still no change.

I've hooked up the +ve from the battery terminal to the +ve of the coil, then have a +ve wire going to the +ve of the distributor.

On the negative side, I've got from the -ve of the battery terminal to the -ve of the coil and then to the -ve of the distributor.

Holden Red HP Block Identification?

Hi all.
I've been given an old holden red motor today, and on one side it's stamped HP. On the other side the engine number is M101XXX. Inside the bore, is't got repco flat-top pistons "RA2027 STD". I'd assume that the motor's had a re-bore to 202 specs?, but what size would have it been as factory? what was it originally out of? and what's its likely displacement?

Cheers!

3spd manual to manual

Hi, I recently brought a HJ Belmont ute, its a pretty big project but has a pretty good body and numbers matching 202, 3spd manual. I'm wanting to keep the column shift and dash so my question is will my 3spd bolt to a 253 or 308?

VH Commo boot lock barrel

Hullo all,
I've lost the keys to my VH Commo but managed to open it up with a coat hanger
& the boot using 1 of my LJ's worn keys with a bit of a wiggle.
I didn't have me eyes on when I had a look earlier but can anyone tell me how
the boot lock barrel is retained? it doesn't have the plate you slide upwards & secure
with 2 screws.
Also is the barrel the same as an LJ's? Was going to use a spare 1 I've got a key for.
Cheers
J.

Is there any easy way to remove the slide pins out of these calipers? Have removed the cottee pins.
Can i drill a hole into the body where the pin is and knock it out that way?

Genuine original Carby HZ 253

Does anybody know what is the correct number a HZ 253 Auto should have for a Carby. I am currently looking at replacing mine, the number on mine is a 23-1111. Is that the original number that the car should have or is there other options?

It’s a 2 barrel Stromberg.

I have a 1966 Holden ute, its at Bunyip Panels at the moment, Peter and his team doing a wonderful job on the body, finally got paint on it last week, please feel free to jump onto his website and have a look at the pics.
I want to put a hard lid on the rear but so far are unable to find a manufacturer to make the hard covers for utes this age. Does anyone out there know of a manufacturer?
thanks for your time

Old an grey

Fred Foster Twin Cam Grey motor was apparently made before Waggott . This is only one known to survive other one went missing both used in boats . Cast in Brisbane apparently . Late 1952. A self taught and fulltime metallurgical genius Fred Foster got the ball rolling with his six part alloy sandwich. It was a brilliantly simple design based on some $5 plans chalked into his floor at Fosters factory.
