Hay there,

Dose anyone have anything to say about a Twin Stromberg set up on a 186? Just look at dressing the motor up and getting it recond' and just look at other carby options. I have had a 350 on a 186 and i am never doing it again!!

The Twin Strombergs look pretty neet but do they have any advantages? If so.... how much? And how much more fuel should i expect to use if i went doww that path???

Hey guys. I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I can't start up my HQ annymore. When I turn the keys it turns one click but it's stuck and won't even goto accessories. It just suddenly happened. I was driving around 10 minutes ago fine, but for some reason the keys won't turn past one click anymore. Very strange. I took the steering wheel off and it seems fine. And I don't wanna hotwire it to go for a drive everytime.
Has this happened to anyonoe else before?
Please help guys I have no idea what happened!

DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT IMPALA STRAIGHT LINE FLOOR SHIFTS

Hi all i've got a HG with disc brakes, just resentaly the brakes have been playing up.
When I brake they work fine at first with normal pressure apllied to the pedal but if I have to put any more pressure on the pedal it seems to loose booster power, the brake pedal gose solid.
Has any one had this problem or know what is going on. It was a reco booster and all brake system was reco to. All i can think is maybe the booster is going.

I have fitted a pair of Holden sports mirrors onto my WB ute and they look great but the only problem I have is that when I close a door the mirror lens moves out of position and they need to be re-positioned every time, does anybody know how to tighten up the the mechanism that hold the mirror itself so that they will stay in position or atleast stop them from moving so much???

have seen them on ebay from auto cables and a guy at most swap meets called GAUCHIS AUTO WHEEL SPATS.
just wondering if anyone has had experiences with either or has got a reccomendation of where to buy from?

I asked a question the other day/week about my dodgy indicators. well i replaced the dodgy indicator stalk (HX in a HJ) some wiring came loose in the rear drivers side ...it was suggested flasher unit cos all four lights came on but no flashing. I tapped the flasher unit a couple times and got indicators to flash again...but no rear drivers side obviously as the wiring came loose. Still it's all magic and wizardry to me this electrickery business.

WARNING these are pics of an ugly, weird, messed up FORD, look at them at your own risk. I will take no responsability for any permanent eye damage.

hey, i've been doing up a Hk sedan i bought. and i've come upon a problem.
i'm unsure as to whether or not to attempt to make a new headlining and put it in myself, or save myself the hassle and pay someone else to do it. Problem is i have 0 experience and not a great deal of money left for the job.
What do you guy's think i should do?
Are bench seats hard to do too?

picked up a dismantled trailbike today, im assuming its a chinese joby, but cant find any info on it. googling kvmco keeps bringing up kymco scooters.
its about the size of a 125 motor, but its both kick and electric start

only number on headstock is *lb5pk8.....*
there is a barcode sticker on the engine, and the engine number is fti56fm1

its a proper road/trail type bike

Should we tell him he's dreaming or has EH holden Utes become very expensive.

I think I could build alot better EH Ute for less, but I'm no expert?

OK, heres a weird one.

Would the Oil, amps, temp and oil cluster out of a HR x2 dash fit into a HG standard dash and thus, replacing the one in the HG dash??? They look to be a simular size, i just want to know if they are as iv never seen a HR x2 in the flesh to messure???

Hey people,bit disillusioned at the moment,bought a ht prem at fairly high price as my first project thinking only little repairs (apart from respray and small rust repairs )boy how wrong was i.It seems every time i look at this rig something else has been covered up.Just proves i should have taken someone with "some" knowledge with me at purchase.Anyway enough tears,i have to have front and rear windscreens removed does anyone have prefered windscreen company they can recomend in Melbourne.Info appreciated

Had my old Ford in the paper for sale today, I figured I would maybe get a call about it by monday if any calls at all. But by 7am I had 4 callers all wanting it sight unseen. I was blown away by this I just gave it to the first caller and if he stuffs me round ill call the 2nd guy back. He is coming in a hour so we wil see if he is FOS or genuine. Ive never had such a fight over one of my cars its usualy weeks before I find a buyer.

btw its a 1936 Ford with minor upgrades such as 302w and bigger brakes etc painted matt black. Very sad sale but im putting a new room in my house and needed a quick easy sale

Just got a set of triple SU 1-3/4" carbies organised with a manifold and a throttle linkage kit. Got all the extras like the fuel block & fittings, lines, air cleaners and all. But I need to setup some kind of choke system/linkage.

Looking to do an upgrade from the Holley.

Any ideas???

hey lads,got offered a hk ute with minimal rust(bottom of doors only),jellybean mags,holden embossed tailgate,it has a 186, 3 speed running in it(and was only parked cause of doors,no rego), already and comes with a 307 chev and a 2speed powerglide..all answers appreciated

Just wondering if anyone would be able to help with the removal of Lever/Knb of the front Qtr fog window. Is there any special way to take them off because i want to put it onto another frame,also on a non power steer swinging the steer lock to lock (car stationary) seems knotchy,(correct tyre pressure new ball joints) any
clue's as to cause.

Hi guys - Got a vibration that has appeared. Drove down to Coles, got back in and accelerating through 40-60kph got a pretty serious vibration... Ive got a manual box and if I take it out of gear vibration gone. It doesn't really appear to be rev related and goes away as soon as I clutch in. Given the information here I suspect it is limited to the driveshaft (I'm thinking uni joint), or diff, but am mostly talking out of my arse - Your help would be appreciated.

I had the front and rear screens fitted to the EH today and I'm as happy as a pig in sh1t. I had them fitted by a fellow Old Holden member who not only did a great job but turned up on time, this was a huge issue to me as I had a really tight time frame to work in, did the job properly, he spent 20 minutes just getting the moulds fitting neatly and finally offered an excellent price. This was hundereds of dollars less then the big national fitters quoted. His attention to detail was spot on and this is exactly what I wanted. He didn't rush to get it finished but still finished right on time. It took 2 hours from driving in the driveway to driving away.

Hi guys, finally got my HK Prem back from paint and g's he looks good! Now just wondering if anyone out there has any advice on rubber kits for him? Im trying to stay away from rare spares rubbers as ive had trouble with them before and find there not really good quality. I remember someone posting a thread about a mob from QLD doing some rubber kits but not sure who it was. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
