Sydney Cruise

Well, I think I've found a good spot to start our cruise. :shindig:
It's in Thornleigh, which is just before Hornsby, and it's on Pennant Hills Road. It's called Kenley Park, and is on the corner of Kenley Road & Pennant Hills Road.

There's a Map, and a picture of the parking area in my shed. I'm on page 1. There's enough room for about 20 cars, which should be plenty for us. :b1:
Let me know what everyone thinks. I couldn't find anything else that was suitable, other than Bobbin Head, which is a bit further away, but it is a nice drive, and it'll cost $11 to get into the park.

Cheers, Steve.

ATT: Streatneat

Hurry up and update your shed, I'm growing impatient,Nah only joking I know you are an extremely busy man, I must of been through every single photo in your shed three times. Love your work. That was also a nice article you did in Street Machine on the floor pan.
Thanks for providing an insight into your world of panel beating.

Exhaust valve recession

Image:

This is valve recession due to running no added lube when on gas.........VN v6 230,000km's .....the exhaust valves pulled up 3.64mm enough to collapse the lifters and hold the valves open causing the motor to misfire badly.....
Had hardened valves and seats factory fitted to suit unleaded but they did not cut the mustard when it came to gas......
use lube!! when running gas......

Big smokey

My mate reackons he could pull big standstills in his stock HZ with a 253 auto. I saw a 202 ute do some amazing ring work but guessed that was just because of the rear suspension. Do you think his claims are legitimate or do you think hes full of crap.

From rob the idiot.

Radiators

I have heard that a three core radiator is more effective than a 4 core?

I have a v8 ute that has overheating probs - and i have narrowed it down to the radiator (4 core) and had it cleaned out - which helped but it is still getting warm.

(im thinking that by the time air has passed though the first 3 cores it is hot air and therefore has no real effect on cooling the fourth core? therefore the water going through the fouth core is not being cooled and is causing my overheating?)

any comments - suggestions - past experiences would be most appreciated

GTS Monaro / Sandman wheel trim?

Hi guys

I have listed this on ebay, but I am not real sure about one of the trims. Someone told me that one of them is an original GTS Monaro or Sandman wheel trim. These were on my HQ that I owned 10 years ago - and had been fitted by the previous owner.

http://cgi.ebay.com....

IS this right? What are the other trims?

I am not after heaps of money for these (I'll let go of them for $1 if thats what the auction gets to), just having a shed clearing out sale.

For the boys heading to narrogin rev heads.

For all the boys heading to narrogin rev heads next weekend...
Keep you eyes out for the ( BRICK ). This mini is fitted with a 308 and is an uncontrolable beast on the burnout pad . I have been told by the driver it does about 8 uncontrolable donuts before the tyres get hot and sticky and able to control it in a different direction. By this time you want to do a donut in the other direction cause your so dizzy.. I will post another pic of the motor in it just for my mate dave who is laughing his ass off..
cheers Quent.

Holden Cruze putting on driving lights

5 door sedan/wagon type body. I am trying to hook up a set of Narva Driving Lights to the front of my Holden Cruze which is really an AWD Suzuki Ignis with a slightly bigger engine. I have hooked the relay to earth, to power at the battery, to each lamp which are indiviually grounded and then I have wired the relay back to switch then out to the High Beam wire on the back of the Headlamps. The problem comes in that the HB wire on the back of the HL's is constantly powered and the Driving Lights are on even when the headlights are off. This is a frustrating problem as the lights should only com
