mums td gemini
By trayback 04/02/12@22:48 4515G'day Guys. I don't know if anybody here would be interested in this old gemini but someone maybe able to tell me what it's worth or where to advertise it.
Mum bought it new in 1978, this td 4 door gemini has only 73446 k on the clock.Started today after been sitting in her shed since 2002.Seats are like new as is the headlining and door trims, carpet is a bit shabby and the dash pad is cracked in 3 places.Paint work is poor would need to be all removed to repaint. Is original metalic dark blue.Doesn't seem to have any bad rust just a lot of surface rust. One front brake is locking up.Has 4 on the floor and stainless steel exhaust, only had 1 set of tyres replaced since new.
What do you blokes think? Am i dreaming at $1000?
Any interest?
Thanks...Paul
Phillip Island Historics
By a Holden Fan o.O 04/02/12@21:33For any OH's who have never been, dont miss this years Historic meeting at Phillip Island. check the website for details. "Phillip Island Historics" in google will do it..
its the MECCA of older performance cars and you can get right into the pits with the most amazing cars.
The sound of some of these cars at full tit down the PI straight is pure music.
lots of car clubs get down there so a real chance to eyeball some serious car candy.
this year is a special bathurst year with gentleman jim jumping back into his old CSI Beemer. will be good to hear that amongst the A9X's

Who has a weird TOOL.
By myeh 03/02/12@16:41 Shed LetsCruise 2560The posting earlier today asking about making panel beating tools got me thinking. What are the weird and wonderful tools people have made to get a job done on their old Holden?
I've shown a few of mine here.
The pic shows 4, starting top left is a drift that screws onto the subframe bolts on an old holden. This allows the bolt to be persuaded into place and easily work its way straight through the hole in the subframe and body.
Top right is a tool that allows me to remove and install the grille bars on the EH. It slips over the tangs on each bar and allows you to bend them.
Bottom left is a cheapy 1/2" AF spanner with a bend in it. This allowed me to get to the rear bumper bar outer mounting bolts without scratching the paint or the bar.

World's Greatest Shave
By 308hjute 02/02/12@23:23 Shed LetsCruise 2560Anyone else doing this? I grew this stupid beard last year and am shaving it (and my hair) off in March. I was originally going to get rid of it at Christmas but thought I could do something worthwhile.

How did this Bloke end up
By hz tonner 308 02/02/12@20:03 3174http://brimbank-lead...
Anyone know how this bloke ever got on did he get his tags back?
Its none of my business really just curious. As I think pawn shops are an erosion on society and cant work out how they get away with selling stolen goods and after a recent experience of a mate seeing some tools in 1 with my dads name on them and they hid them by the time my old man got there I take every opportunity to sink the boot into them.
You know a town is a hole when there's a heap of pawn shops.
WA peoples
By feguzzi750 02/02/12@13:50 Shed LetsCruise 3136I am going over to the west (Perth and south of) in about 2 weeks and spending time touring and relaxing in the south west.
Wondering if there are any car museums down that way that are worth a look at.
Also any recommendations on things that are must see that are not in tourist guff.
Thanks

By fj283 02/02/12@11:47 ShedHey guys,
just thought I'd post up this letter regarding modified vehicles in NSW. There is going to be a meet at Eastern Creek on 26th Feb, so If everyone can get together as a car community it would be good. The more the better!!

engine swaps
By blah-blah 01/02/12@22:28hey all,
just wondering, for my own benefit and to get some ideas, what are some "weird" or uncommon engine swaps that people have seen over the year into our beloved old Holdens?. I am in the process of thinking of what should be the power plant of my Torana. there are so many options these days. just wanted to see what's out there and whats been done and what others have pondered about doing.
cheers for your thoughts Brodie
