New gearbox old engine

Hello sages of wisdom on old Holden. Does anyone know if there are Holden 4spd boxes that would bolt up to a 138 grey motor with minimal motification. I currently have a grey powered EJ with the stock 3 in the tree. that is due for a rebuild and want to go to a 4 on the floor and keep the grey motor.
Any info would be great.
Cheers

Planning new project FC

Hi all, I am planning my next project by bringing back to life the FC I learnt to drive in. I want to leave the original grey motor in it, but update a few things. I am planning to update to auto transmission using the trimatic conversion kits seen on e-Bay. Has anyone used them and are they worth it?
Secondly, I would like to use a HR front end on it so as to have better brake options. To tie all this together, would a HR auto column work or would I be forced to go rack an pinion due to steering arm positioning etc. Has anyone done this combo previously?

cooling system clean

Hi all;

Would someone be able to advise the best way to clean a Grey Motor cooling system?

The water in mine is muddy brown with a bit of sediment floating in it and I'm about to give it a flush. I've heard that it's best to steer clear of the cleaners as they're a bit savage.

Also, could anyone recommend a good additive for the water?

Any advice much appreciated - thanks in advance!

Reversing FC diff install in FX sedan back to original fx diff

Hi
I am wanting to convert my old fx back to original. It came with an FC diff in it when I bought it 20 years ago. They changed the diff but kept the front end original. I swapped in an FX/FJ diff on the weekend, but the uni joint on the tailshaft didn't match. The flange on the fx/ fj diff seems smaller. I don't have an fj tailshaft.

I am looking at the following options given I don't have an fj tailshaft.
1. Wondering if the FC diff centre will fit the fj diff housing?
2. or if I can just fit fj axles and brakes in the fc diff housing
3. or if I can swap the flange off the fc diff centre onto the fj diff centre. I don't really want to do that as it will probably stuff up the diff backlash etc
