Historic and classic cars log book to stay
2 October 2019
Historic and classic car enthusiasts will have more opportunities to hit the road outside club events thanks to the Liberal & Nationals Government making log books a permanent feature this week.
Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Paul Toole said 50,000 cars had participated in the log book scheme during its trial period.

I had an LX hatchback Torana I sold 15 years ago and just found the Hatch Hutch. It is in fair condition. Will anyone still want one of these? Marcus from Melbourne

Ol mate needs a seat cover for the front bench on the LX, any clues on size and availability?
A HR size one might fit, but try buying one! They don't seem to have them at Kmart, we might not be in 1976 anymore Toto!
My next stop is Super-erk to see if a size 90 ute one will fit

Ol mate asked me to help him refit the Aunger rear louvre to his LX Torana sedan.
I know you can still buy the kits for $50 but I still have the clips and I wonder has anyone successfully refitted these with an easily available double sided tape?
Cheers Dave

I have been having trouble every time I put the trimatic in gear in my LX the engine stalls.I have been working on these things for years and am stumped.I have changed carby replaced and checked vacuum lines changed vacuum module on box, it is not idle car run great also has new carby base gasket..
Has any body ever had a busted torque converted which caused the engine to stall. If I rev it up and bang into gear drives perfect up and down the gears but will stall if I slow down before I stop

I was wondering if someone could provide some clarification please
I’m looking at a torana lx ss L31 M21 the VIN NUMBER in the centre of the chassis and the GM plate LX8VD77 -all number match -
the ADR COMPLIANCE PLATE BLX021978M and the chassis match
Does the vin number need to match the chassis number ? So i essence all numbers need to be the same if can u have as it is and still be an original car?

Hi everyone
Would someone do me a huge favour please.
I'm endeavoring to fit an lx torana nose cone to my Uc but I haven't yet bought the bonnet and need the length from the rear corner to the front corner where it meets the nose cone. In other words the outside measurements of a lh or lx bonnet.
Thanks heaps
