I got a copy today , and this would have to be the best book on any Holden i have ever seen..

IF YOU HAVE A TORANA OR INTERESTED IN THEM , YOU MUST get a copy of this book, it has everything you will ever want to know about every model of torana made and ones that never got made , it is full of color pictures of all aspects of all the toranas 4 ,6 & 8 cylinder ones,with photos from the gmh archive that have never been released before..

IF YOUR BUILDING or doing up a torana this is the book to HAVE ,IT COVERS ALL THE SPECS , OPTIONS , PAINT AND TRIM CODES with pictures, and any thing else you might need or want to know about toranas..

I am looking at buying new mags for my HT Premier, to replace the Centerlines i currently have fitted. Most wheels i have looked at have several sizes of backspace.

I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to measure what backspace i need? Or can i measure the backspace of the current wheels and that will tell me what i need?

Does anyone know where you can buy new stub axle castle nuts for the old holdens?
Do general auto stores sell them?

Also if anyone has a HR lowered 2 inches ...and pics in your shed can you post up a link?

I'm considering drop axles from Stubtech set up for commodore brakes.
They're pricey but I plan on lowering it (don't know how much yet) and want commodore brakes and they'll aid in both.

Alternatively is anyone selling a setup to fit commodore brakes to a HR, I think my HR has HT stubs.

I have been told about an LC GTR XU-1 that might be for sale - all original, but apparently a lot of rust but repairable. Asking $12000. Any idea what it might be worth? I know hard to tell without photos. Cheers.

hi all i have a lc 2 door torana that im restoring and i am thinking of puting a v8 in it it runs a 202 at the moment if i do this conversion i would like it to be registed so how much would this cost me ??

Just want to extend the invite to my services. I'm trying to get a little money together to get my car back on the road, and seeing as I am a locksmith, I thought why not do some Old Holden Locksmithing in my spare time. I can do old Ford and Chrysler and even newer Holden and Ford if any one is interested as well.

Everything from basic rekeying or locks to fully rebuilding ignitions. I can do almost all of the old Holden range, ignitions, doors, boots, glove box the lot! I use only genuine Holden key codes and the best after-market parts you can get. IV got quite a few spares so finding replacement stuff is never normally a problem.

I've been looking at Sump Gasket Kits for red/blue/black Six Cyl Holden Engines and none of them have the 2 small Rubber Blocks that fit each side of the Rear Bearing Cap.

Are they no longer needed or have the Gasket companies overlooked something?
