I am looking at buying new mags for my HT Premier, to replace the Centerlines i currently have fitted. Most wheels i have looked at have several sizes of backspace.

I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to measure what backspace i need? Or can i measure the backspace of the current wheels and that will tell me what i need?

Ive been out of the game for years, wondered if anyone knew how hard it is to engineer vehicles these days. Ive got an FC holden that Ive had for years in the shed,the kids are now at school and i was looking to re register it. It has 3.3 from vh commodore with head cam and triples, trimatic and nine inch with hq brakes. it has a twin cicuit master cylinder from vp. also has commodore rack and pinion that has f all lock.

The racks rear mounted and the coupling on the rack to column is minis uni joint and solid, i didnt do this i bought it like this years ago. the brakes will suffice, i remember the pollution regulations had to comply with the engine fitted not the car.

Best part, the genius cut the front outrigger off the HR crossmember

Has had a cover on it for most of its life by the looks of it.

Willing to consider trades for it.

Really need some centre caps for my Trident Jelly bean Mags..

The inside cover is quite stained but I have flicked through the other pages and there are just the odd finger print etc

Does anyone know where you can buy new stub axle castle nuts for the old holdens?
Do general auto stores sell them?

Also if anyone has a HR lowered 2 inches ...and pics in your shed can you post up a link?

I'm considering drop axles from Stubtech set up for commodore brakes.
They're pricey but I plan on lowering it (don't know how much yet) and want commodore brakes and they'll aid in both.

Alternatively is anyone selling a setup to fit commodore brakes to a HR, I think my HR has HT stubs.

Has anyone every hotted up an old holden with a buick straight 8? Its always been something ive thought about, ever since I found a buick with a straight 8 sitting in the bush. Would be pretty cool I think. Id fit it (well..) in an fc if I had the time to do it. I might make the trip to the middle of no-where and get that motor. Curly.

Does anybody know where the best place would be to sell unique license plates?
As I have some "OLDFC" plates (as in my profil picture)that we are no longer using and wish to sell.

If you have nothing on I highly recommend this car show, its a great day for the family.
This is a big day with over 300 cars 2 years ago, poor buggers got rained out last year.
There is a giant kids park right next to it and overlooking the beach.
Look out for the gold aircleaner near the Geelong fx-hz Holden car club tent.
