How to Build a High Performance Holden 6
By Qute 11/04/13@02:32 Shed LetsCruise 6056A 35-ish page document/website on what does/doesn't work when building a Hot Holden 6: http://oldjohnno.id....
I stumbled across it in a Link from the Bolwell site.
He makes some VERY good points throughout it. Just be warned, it WILL take quite a while to read it all...

By Dec-150 26/02/13@16:20 Shed 4164Hi All,
I've just moved to Emerald (QLD)
Just seeing if there's any OldHoldeners roughly in this area?
Is there any car shows throughout the year to look out for?
My HR Project is still in Brisbane (no where for it here). Flying back for a week every few months to try and make a little progress on it.
Cheers

V8 Rear oil seal
By holden nob 04/05/12@11:19 Shed LetsCruise 3842Hi all,
Iasked the question here recently about smooth or knurled crankshaft ends in regards to rope rear seals, and got the information required. The answer meant removing the crank out of my newly built engine as I had a smooth crank and a rope seal. The crank was out of a 400 Chevy and stroked etc to make a 383,and had a shooth surface on the crank. The engine was ran and obviously leaked, hence the question.I was due to start, and I wondered what seal was in VL V8 blocks as standard,as if it was neoprene the fix would be easier.I had presumed it was rope and built it as such, but can anyone confirm this please.
Thanks in advance.
