Dyno tune or retard timing till I hear it stop pinging

Hi,

I have a mild 202 which was dyno tuned not so long ago. The car was becoming hard to start which we traced back the points needing to be replaced. 2 Easy. Installed the new points, but now the engines pings badly from half throttle in any gear and at any RPM.

Do I get the timing reset on the dyno, or just retard the timing and keep testing/listening for even the slightest ping. Have I installed the points incorrectly?
