 Hi Guys
These Head rests came on a HG Prem I bought from an old bloke back a few years ago.
He insisted he got them from the Holden Dealer when he bought the car new back in 1970.
I have since spoke to a few Holden gurus and they are not sure if they were an option or not.
Anyway... I dont want them, so they are for sale.
Make an offer..
Located in Melb.
If sold to an OH member I will be donating half of what I get for them to Rusty.
Cheers

Hi guys, long time reader 1st time poster. Im having overheating problems with my hq. Ive got a stock 308, and it has been starting to play up a bit. When im driving around town its fine, say any speed under 80km. But as soon as I hit the freeway, the temperature just seems to instantly rise, and keeps going. Under 80km it sits on about 80 degrees, but on the freeway, within under 5 minutes it soars up to 100degrees and above. It seems to very temproarily drop temperature if i drop back to say 90km and speed back up to 100. that would drop the temperature by about 5 degrees, but would only stay that way for not even halve a minute. What do you think is the cause of the problem? Im thinking something to do with a blocked radiator and a broken water pump? Or is it something more sinister?

hey, i've been doing up a Hk sedan i bought. and i've come upon a problem.
i'm unsure as to whether or not to attempt to make a new headlining and put it in myself, or save myself the hassle and pay someone else to do it. Problem is i have 0 experience and not a great deal of money left for the job.
What do you guy's think i should do?
Are bench seats hard to do too?

Hey there,
Im currently restoring a HK wagon. Im trying to find out what the original colour actually looks like, i know that the code is 585-10761 which it titled Eden Blue. The wagon has had a couple of spray jobs, all in blue and its hard to work out which is the original colour. I know the current colour isnt the original colour, but there are another 2 different blues other than the top coat when we buzzed back one of the panels.
so if there is anyone out there with the same paintcode and the original colour can you please email me some pictures or some links to pictures of the colour.
in the below attachment i have a picture of the current colour of my wagon.
thanks heaps

Hello, I am really wanting to find a nice Holden with not too much to do for RWC etc.. Can be HT,K,G preferably 1969.
My husband had a completely original fully restored 69 Ht Kingswood which a lady pulled out in front of and we just couldnt replace it at the time. My kids and husband..and me were devastated. we loved the family drives..
2 years later and he still is very sad when he sees them.. so I am trying to suprise him.
We can probably only afford up to $3000.
I know its a bit of a long shot but if any one can help me I would really appreciate it.
we are located in SE QLD. A bit of travel would be fine.
Kind Regards
Sarah

Hi guys, finally got my HK Prem back from paint and g's he looks good! Now just wondering if anyone out there has any advice on rubber kits for him? Im trying to stay away from rare spares rubbers as ive had trouble with them before and find there not really good quality. I remember someone posting a thread about a mob from QLD doing some rubber kits but not sure who it was. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Do the numbers in front mean anything? or just the 4/5 numbers after?
How can you tell what year it was made.
Thankyou,

i have my tri matic in a trans shop, while its there i am either going to change to a half bellhousing or get a convertor with nuts attached, previously i had a full bellhousing with a hole cut in the bottom to do the nuts up, then you have to rotate the fly wheel again to torque the bolts before, i have no access to the front crank bolt without pulling out all the fans, radiator & crap.
options are go to a half bellhousing, get a convertor with attached nuts and use standard high tensile bolts.
or
get a half bellhousing and keep the ARP torque convertor bolts and nuts.
its a supercharged six.
i guess what i need to know is do half housings brake easy or do torque convertor bolts shear off easy when you have extra torque and power.

Hi all
Just wanted some advice for the right sealant to use when reinstalling all the bits onto the firewall.
I'm talking the steering column, booster, clutch master cylinder, heater box, and various grommets.
What should I use??

G'day fellas, want to change my HK stud pattern to HQ so I can get Weld rims. Just wondering what's the easiest way to go about it, ie change diff or redrill?? I've been told it's too hard to redrill and easier to change diff. If so what's the best diff to get?? I may end up with quite a bit of power later on. Cheers, Glenn.

G'day Andrew ,just wondering how you sealed the 1/4 panels on scottys manaro, and what you used? As I make it out you use windscreen sealer. Also have you used rarespares rust panel for the hq/wb ute 1/4 panel between the door and wheelarch on top of the sill?Just wondering what sort of fit it was and how you went about plug welding it to the sill. Not much room through the opening in the back.
Thanks.....Paul
