OK, heres a weird one.

Would the Oil, amps, temp and oil cluster out of a HR x2 dash fit into a HG standard dash and thus, replacing the one in the HG dash??? They look to be a simular size, i just want to know if they are as iv never seen a HR x2 in the flesh to messure???

Any ideas anyone???

hi all i have a red 202 in my hr, its dual fuel. it seems to be blowing alot of white smoke that smells very carbon like when i start her up from cold but once warm there is none and she seems to be running fine.

any ideas as to how to stop the smoke would be great.

after i replaced my spare tyre with the repair drive tyre i though and had a look at the two diameters..i noticed the car was pushing one way on the freeway with the spare...
indeed the spare tyre is a good inch higher when the two stand up next to each other..now my diff make a hell of a whining noise !so have coming theusday and wenesday of to repair the diff, i tried pulling one of the axles out on saterday last week but they are thight as !
iam not sure hwat i need to do, its a hr panno and it runs a 3.55 banjo diff.
i want to go to a 3.08 ratio, my first;

are there any banjo diffs with that ratio and if so would they fit straight in to my hr housing...

Have for sale a pair of HR front springs. These springs are NEW Pedders and stiffer than hr original. Had them fitted with drop stubs but ute too low so I changed a few things.... asking $145 AL Melb. 0409 135900

i have my tri matic in a trans shop, while its there i am either going to change to a half bellhousing or get a convertor with nuts attached, previously i had a full bellhousing with a hole cut in the bottom to do the nuts up, then you have to rotate the fly wheel again to torque the bolts before, i have no access to the front crank bolt without pulling out all the fans, radiator & crap.

options are go to a half bellhousing, get a convertor with attached nuts and use standard high tensile bolts.
or
get a half bellhousing and keep the ARP torque convertor bolts and nuts.

its a supercharged six.
i guess what i need to know is do half housings brake easy or do torque convertor bolts shear off easy when you have extra torque and power.

i have a hr ute with a 202 with a stage 3 head as well as other things done to it
and now its time to give the old girl a bit of a freshen up, i have a 186a block that i am going to use to replace the 202 with, but at the moment i am looking for a 186 to use as parts doner, I dont want to spend much but will pay whats fair for a complete motor, SO if any one in adelaide want's to part with a 186 or a HP get back to me

gday all im looking at getting another car to use as a daily so i can pull the prem off the road for a tidy up. will consider almost anything but must be in vic (central vic preffered) must have rego and must be in reasonable condition. wanting to pay up to 2 grand for a suitable car, would prefer a ute and manual but anything pre wb would be great. let me know what youve got as im looking for a quick purchase.

Does anyone have a GOOD 186 for sale?
One I can trust? I've just put a very average 161 in my HR, and if I go to the trouble of another swap, I'd like it to be for a decent motor.
I know 186's are a dime a dozen, I've got 2 here that I can put in, but I'm not too certain of their condition. Although I know one's "OK", if I can find something better, it'd be good. Anyone have something special out there..?
In and around the Mornington Peninsula would be great....

I have an issue that when under brakes my HRs steering wheel is shuddering left to right, the car also seems to be pulling towards one side. My thought is that it likely needs to have the rotors machined. Before sending it to a brake place though I wanted to see if anyone else had any thoughts. I don't think it's wheel alignment because the car isnt showing any other symptoms or problems until it is under brakes. It's got fairly new brake pads which hopefully I ran in properly...

I have a set of very brittle and warped arm rests for my HR. (Subject of a poor ebay purchase)

I guess there is no saving them and as buying a good set would be next to impossible are there any other options except for buying Hk or HQ reproduction ones which won't look right?

Howdy guys, I'm selling a holden six long bolt 3.08 diff centre, I'm asking 300 ono for it. It is in a HR diff housing, but will seperate, or want $350 ono for the lot, the brakes are good on it.

The diff does not howl or grind or clunk, but its old and has done a few mile, so its not super quiet, but niether will it send you deaf. It is located 30 minutes the other side of Geelong, heading towards Colac

Howdy guys, I need to know the name of those threaded clips that "clip" onto the subframe and alows the bolt to tighten up and hold a mud gaurd down :/ Any what are these called, and who stocks them, I need 3mm screw size. If this makes no sense, then I cant help that. LOL

How can i stop body roll in an EH i have just had the diff shortened so the tyres fit up in the guard, So when i'm traveling in a straight line there is no scrubing.
The body touches the outside of the tyres when i travel around a sweeping bend.

Wound down the front window on the HR this morning and the lift channel seperated from the glass, refitted it and it just comes off again. I dare say that Im not the only one this has happened to and Ive looked thru Holdenpaedia with no luck. What is the best way to keep the sucker on there?? Just got the car back on the road after a gearbox rebuild and everything seems to be sticking up from the weather. (I Have put some graphite on the baily channels to help it along...) Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
