By MRHD 04/02/12@12:25 Shed 2571Six cylinder flywheel weights
By mick88 25/01/12@22:38 LetsCruise 3498Hi,
can anyone tell me if there was a difference in the respective weights of Holden red motor flywheels.
I am told that there was a difference between the red motor flywheels from the 149ci up to the 202ci.
Secondly I would like to know what was the heaviest flywheel made for a holden six overall in either of the red, blue or black motors.
I have a 179 fitted in an old four wheel drive and want to fit the heaviest flywheel possible to it!
Cheers for now, Mick.
If my back was a Holden
By blissy 25/01/12@17:37 LetsCruiseI'm thinking the mechanic would say the bottom end is knackered and the discs need replacing or machined, already had a hone out in 2009.
Had another m.r.i done today and she's not what we wanted to see.
Have to wait till the 21 of feb to see what the back specialists wants to do.
(The bottom two disc are bulging and the second bottom has ruptured)

What Backspace do i need for new rims?
By bigfudge 13/01/12@00:01 Shed 3305Gday People
I am looking at buying new mags for my HT Premier, to replace the Centerlines i currently have fitted. Most wheels i have looked at have several sizes of backspace.
I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to measure what backspace i need? Or can i measure the backspace of the current wheels and that will tell me what i need?
Cheers. Ron

Hoping to get ideas/suggestions - I have a 1966 Holden HD sedan with a 202 red motor - eventually replacing it with a 202 black vk motor. Want to get rid of the clutch fan and run thermos - looking at putting a gilmer belt drive on it until i can get my other set up running. What is a good thermo fun that will be a bolt straight in job. Want the car to run cooler too during summer. Was thinking about the ford falcon au thermos?? Any one know if this bolt in or have any other suggestions??
Thanx

Powerglide column gear indicator - pics needed.
By RussHQ 28/12/11@21:30 ShedG'day all. In need of a favour.
Looking for an image of the gear indicator for any column shift power-glides. (the clear thing on the column showing what gear you're in - L/D/N/R/P)
Pic here: http://www.impalas.c...
Know a bloke with a '65 Chevy Impala (Aus built RHD version) and he needs one. Unfortunately, whilst the Yanks do reproduce them, they're back to front - no good for passing rego.
He's hoping something from Holden during that period will suffice.
Tried searching on Google the last couple of hours, but can't find a decent image of a Holden version anywhere.
Can anybody help us out?
Cheers,
Russ
