severe need of help

im sure we get this question a lot, but i need some severe help in terms of modifying my hq's 202!! i need some serious advice on how to increase my top end power, torque, exhaust note, response. I want to stick with carby and manifold, but as it is an auto, are triples too hard too tune? By the way my car is an original prem with only 91060 kms on the clock with all the log books!! P.S:any carby\manifold ideas?

Auto Transmission Fluid

Hi, Can someone please tell me approximately how many litres of transmission fluid I will need to completely refill the transmission of a 3-speed HJ Holden Kingswood. That is, sump, torque converter and cooler, lines, filter tc.
Thanks, Nick.

Fitting Torque Converter

Hi,
Can someone help me with a query about a 1976 HJ Kingswood?

I am replacing the auto transmission on my daughter's 1976 Kingswood. I have placed the torque converter into the transmission (bell) housing and ensured the converter is located properly on the shaft. I have also bolted the transmission (bell) housing to the crankcase housing, since the motor (a Red 202) is already mounted on its engine mounts (ie, in the engine bay).

VK 3.3 EFI into HT Wagon

Hi, I am going to restore my HT Premier wagon and was thinking of putting in a VK 3.3 EFI motor instead of rebuilding the 186. Is the 3.3 EFI a good motor? And how hard is the swap? Also, I would like to run on unleaded, how hard is it to convert this motor to unleaded?

Another question, can anyone recommend an engine shop in the Sydney area that could reliablely do this and a rough price would be good.

Black motor in VC Commie

Does anyone know WHAT is involved in getting the black EFI from a VK to run in a VC commie previously runnin' a blue 173? I can get hold of blak motor and gbox for $200.00 with No ECU, I can get an ecu from www.commodoreshop.co... for $75 so thats no worries. BUT, my question is, does the ecu require any special sensors? Speed, EGO, and does it need the VK instrument cluster to get info from/werk???

carby setup on a 202

I am having trouble tuning up a 202 blue motor.It has a 350 holly (58 jets & a 6.0 power valve)cain manafold,extractors & a mild cam.
when I set the timing to about 4 to 6 tdc the car will run fine around town in light through to heavy acceleration but on the highway sitting on a 100 kph the motor will start pinging going up a hill under moderate power. When I retard the timing back to about 0 to 2 tdc the pinging on the highway stops but the engine will lose power and stall when in town.I have tryed 59 jets, adjusted the fuel mixture and tryed another distributor all to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions?
