I am restoring a hk monaro and want to know all the specifications for it like the colour of certain parts, there part numbers, bolt sizes ect. Does anybody know if there is a information program or book on this and where to find it?

Having a problem with my HG's steering column. The steering shaft is pulling in and out of the steering column and the only thing that is keeping it from yanking all the way out is the coupling that connects to the steering box.

Is there meant to be something that stops the bearing in the top of the switch assembly from being able to pull out???

Looks pretty un-technical but it's right as i checked two other cars ..same..same.

Not to sure about the actual dimentions or anthing but I'm looking at getting some wide steel wheels for my HG for when I go to the track every now and then instead of my white wall cheese cutters. Anyone got a set of four they want to sell and how much. Dont need tires.

I am hoping that someone out their in old Holden land would be able to supply a set of original HT series guard bolts to finish off a complete 5 year restoration?
That's the 5/16 x 1 inch with captive panel washers, slight scolloped bolt head, that run down the guard tops.
All help appreciated and their would be a reward for your efforts.

I'm look to buy a slave cylinder braket for my all syncro 3 speed. Need postage to Brisbane.

Need a hydraulic clutch set up (need everything including fork and hydraulic line) for my HG. I don't really want to put the rat trap stuff back in as i think its a sh!t house idea.

Need it soon as my car is sitting in the garage and its the only thing i need to get it going again.

As title states, im looking for a sun visor to suit a HG Kingswood (somewhat urgently).
Mines going off for panel and paint, and if i cant get one before then, ill probably fill up the holes.
WA Preferred unless cost of freight doesnt out weigh its worth.

ive got a red 186 in my HG (factory i would imagine) and have been "bascially" given a 202 out of a VC Commodore (im assuming a blue engine)

What are the differences between the 2 and how interchangable are the parts?

Can i use the extractors and manifold off the Blue engine on my red 186?

What about the Dizzy, i believe the blue engines have elec ign?

Any help is appreciated or any places to look for more information.

Im in the process of stripping my HG Kingswood for panel and paint.
Im abit aprehensive about pulling the chrome off from around the side windows (that follows roof line) and the chrome along the top of the doors.

Any one got any tips to do this without any damage being done???

I got a few WW Strombergs this weekend for my 186S rebuild for my HG and am happy with the purchase, they need a bit of work but should be nice once fitted.

HOWEVER..... Iv realized i have no dash pots for them and was wondering if its terribly necessary?

Hi, i want to convert LJ from drum front to disc front, i was just wondering can i convert LJ 6 cyclinder torana with drum brakes to Disc with Hr stubs, rotors and calipers or do i need all LJ torana disc's and stuff? or will LH LX discs do as well? Anyone looking to off load what i need? i'm in the bendigo area. what's the go with boosters and portioning valves.
It's a stock car so i want to keep the 13" wheels and early stud pattern. just looking for bit better brakes.
Any help or idea will be grate.
