Electrolytic Capacitors (GTS Clock)

Hi all, going to give replacing the Electrolytic Capacitors in the HJ GTS Clock a go, what the hell it don't work now so I can't break it can I, and I can use a soldering iron. Or I'll take the board to a telly dude with the Capacitors and get them to solder it in for me. Anyway I assume the capacitors are the two grey\white components on the board with the markings 0.47uf 50v and 1.0uf 10v, correct? Anyone know? Pretty sure I'm right according to the Paedia, just after a bit of conformation.

the capacitors are the things marked 0.47 microfarads and 1.0 microfarads.

Also the white part (or grey/silver etc etc) is negative.
I scored a widescreen monitor from my old work for nothing because it didnt work. I opened it up and it had a blown cap. Very easy to replace. I wouldnt pay anyone to do it...

Be sure they *are* Electrolytic. They might be Biploar, meaning that they can be installed either way around.

If they are electrolytic, Polarity will be marked on them (+ or -).

most times there will be a black stripe on one side with little "- - -" signs on it. That's the negative.
