Testing GTS Clock

Anyone help with testing a GTS Clock from a HJ. Has the two terminals at the back and one on the body, what wire goes where?

Cheers, Daz.

I don't have one but would guess, 12V positive at the rear terminals - one to run the clock and the other for a light.
The body terminal is probably ground. (earth, negative)

Please use, Holdenpaedia will get the first box on the left side. Post any suggestions.

Yeah tried all that with no go......If someone can confirm that all I should have to do is ground the body and connect 12v to either run the light or clock then I'll assume it's dead.

When you pull the adjusting pin out and let it snap back in the second hand does move the 4-5 secs as per normal though.

Mines from a hz but it should be the same. The wire on the very back of the clock is a power wire for the clock the pin on the side is ground and the other pin which has a wire running off it from the side to the back is also a positive.

The Orange Wire provides permanent +12 Volts even when the Ignition Switch is off.

Grey is Dash Light Power, Black is Ground (Earth).

Holdenpaedia, they're the brakes Mate.

Does a GTS clock go a bit faster than a Kingswood or LS clock?
What if it is a red GTS clock?

HKing - a steel crank.

exactly right, ive never seen one that still works, but you need it to make the dash look right.

As a workaround it may be possible to fit an aftermarket very cheap +12 volt Clock Mechanism to the back of your existing Clock.

There is a guide in holdenpedia on repairing the gts clock, but you can use a quartz clock from a volvo. Check out the attachment here; http://oldholden.com... i just need to paint the needles yellow, and it will look genuine. Best $45 ive spent considering what i payed for my non-working gts clock still not working.
