4L60E auto troubles

Hi all,
Still putting LS1 and 4L60E into HJ wagon. Just about road going time and I have no drive out of gearbox. I'm fairly sure its the pump in the gearbox as fluid level doesn't lower when engine is running. Anybody else have an idea? gearbox has been sitting for a while, can the pressure relief jam open like other pumps or is it just rooted? Any info would be great.

Yeah auto fluid level is high and doesn't lower once engine is running.

The Dipstick Level should show way over full with the Engine stopped and drop no lower than the add line if the Engine is cold.

You don't mention any Fluid loss. Excessive pressure on the Front Plate will cause the Pump to lose pressure because the Pump Faces will become scored.

Is the Filter blocked?

Is the Flexplate intact?

Is this a six or V8?

Which Engine?

Try removing the pressure side of the trans cooling pipe to the radiator and see if there is any pressure. About 10-15psi? and good flow into a bottle. Its a reduced main line pressure but will show if the pump is at least engaged and pumping.
