time for a Perth run AUG 1st 2010
ok guys, I think it's time for another perth run but sans all the politics and stress that was posted before PC 19 which turned out to be a great day.

DATE 1st August 2010 Start 10am Anning Park, Thomas St car park, South Lake.
i will again bring a handout of the route as I would like to tweak it a little, may change the mid point to be somewhere like a park where passersby can view the cars.

While mapping the route I came across Autoscene at Maddington, http://autoscene.com... which I rang in view of a midway stop. Turns out that Darren and the boys sell HSVs etc and In my opinion would be a good midway point for a yak and yarn, and for those who only want a short run. Good PR for Old Holden.com and Autoscene.
So I'm proposing:::
DATES: Sat 24th July OR Sun 25th with SAT 31st July or SUN 1st of Aug
Start, Departing 10.00am From Anning Park 770 North LAke Road, (Thomas St car park) South Lake
LEFT onto NORTH LAKE ROAD
LEFT onto Beeliar Drive which becomes Armadale Rd
LEFT onto Warton Road which becomes Burslem Drive, follow it to the end where it meets Albany Hwy
Right onto Albany Highway and then Left into Autoscene carpark. Approx 35 mins / 20ks.
There is a drive thru Maccas at Olga rd and ALbany Hwy oooorrrrrr maybe our good friends Boxy and Phil could put us together some buns and snags and we could do a quik snag roll barby at Autoscene while we check out the HSV's etc. Then those who want can go home while the Hard Core cruisers can head to Mundaring Weir Hotel, where hopefully the waterfall will be on show as a backdrop for pics.
ONTO Mundaring Weir Hotel
Left out of Autoscene Heading south-east on Albany Hwy towards Herbert St 550 m
15. Take the 3rd left on to Kelvin Rd Go through 3 roundabouts 5.8 km
16. Turn right at Crystal Brook Rd 1.1 km
17. Continue onto Welshpool Rd 850 m
18. Slight left at Lesmurdie Rd Go through 1 roundabout 5.1 km
19. Lesmurdie Rd turns slightly left and becomes Gladstone Rd 500 m
20. Continue onto King Rd 550 m
21. Sharp right at Mundaring Weir Rd 14.0 km
28.5 km – about 44 mins
Follow the Mundaring Weir Road from Kalamunda for approximately 18km. This route takes you past the Weir, up the hill, first road on the right, big sign, can't miss it. Their Sunday Sessions used to be fabulous.
So who's up for it?

Sounds like a plan Mark.
One suggestion for an alternative route...follow Welshpool Rd right to the end, left onto Canning Rd and immediately right. Left at the end of that Rd, Right at the end again, 1st Left will bring you out onto MDG Weir Rd at Piesse Brook (about 5 or 6 K's east of Kalamunda and about 3 K's east of King Rd).
The above is a GREAT scenic drive through the Bickley Valley.
Another couple of thoughts I had were:
Ridley's Car Museum
Go-karts at Wanneroo
Track time at the RAC (ex-AHG) driving centre at the International Airport (Grogan Rd).

I suggest going through mundaring and kalamunda and bickley it's a great route you can pass mundaring weir there's a pub on the way, there's plenty of sunday drivers out there as well + i live in kalamunda would be nice to see you guys storming through the little town making some noise :)

hey fellas,
unfortunately i doubt ill be able to make any of those dates (def cant make the 1st august) at this stage as im pretty booked up moving into and sorting out my new house. Yay me. and then mid august im off to melbourne for a week and a bit. yay me again :P
could do a run in early-mid sep. obviously ill keep an eye on the post and keep an eye on my schedule and will try and make it as i love getting the old girl out for a run.

Sad that some of you from PC 19 can't make it, but it's great to hear the yesses from everyone else. As autoScene Cant open on Sunday, We can either
A) choose one of the Saturdays
B) Choose a Sunday and stop at the Macccas or elsewhere nearby, or just use the grass area outside the car yard
C) Plan a different halfway stop.
As for the route from halfway. Anyone who has a detailed option put it forward. I'm happy with what I have set, but I ain't a hillbilly!! LOL

Last time a lot more people came than posted, so the best thing is to just pick a date and then the people that can on that date will come and the ones that cannot hopefully can go
on the next one.
It at least gives a date for everyone to work towards.
By the way we are easy with any route and any date but would prefer a Sunday drive though.

look at the amount of cars we had go through freo on PC19 and no major issues. we all behaved and got a shyte load of people looking at our beautiful cars and appreciate what we have. might have to take a trek down there to see if this is really true

Would have loved to be a part of this cruise,as i have made the last 2 Cruises and thoroughly enjoyed, but Joined a Car Club that has 85% Holden cars and we are having an Open/Family day this Sunday at 11am, so unfortunately cannot make it. But without Plugging our get together(Thats why i haven't noted the car club's name) over yours, why not cruise past for a look. You may see some old faces...
