Genuine 6 cylinder vb sle?

Model code on ID plate will be 8VX69 for sedan or 8VX35 for wagon if available.

Yeah, first thing would be to

Yeah, first thing would be to check the ID plates as stated above "Sounds right". Anything with a VX code instead of a VL code is usually a higher-end commodore. I've owned a 253 VC SL/E "my first ever V8" and i'm going to get another one shortly. This is what the VC SL/E's will have from original.

windscreen-like wiper arms for the headlights.
over-riders on the front and rear bumper bars
15" Alloys. Hotwire-like
SL/E steering wheel
Tacho instead of econogague
Electric windows
Air con & power steering.
Usually but not always a higher ratio diff than a 3.08
Plush carpet and carpeted door pannels
Adjustable interior lights for the front.
Either a 2.85 or a 4.2 Litre blue motor was factory. Usually always an auto too!.

Don't know about the VB SL/e, but I could imagine that there wouldn't be much difference.
I used to have an owners handbook which had the codes, but i've lost it a long time ago.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

VB SLE

My VB SL\E didnt have a single spoke stg wheel or electric windows. No rear headrests either (VC's did). Had 4.2L, and a 2.78 non-LSD disc brake diff. Should have a tacho though I'd have thought. Yes, check the plates!

Oh yeah, almost forgot!. It

Oh yeah, almost forgot!. It should definately have the single spoke steeringwheel and also the headrests on the rear seat.

Cheers!

VB SLE's

That's not correct. VB SLE definitely does not have the VC type single spoke wheel or rear headrest.
