HR X2 instruments into a HG Cluster???
OK, heres a weird one.
Would the Oil, amps, temp and oil cluster out of a HR x2 dash fit into a HG standard dash and thus, replacing the one in the HG dash??? They look to be a simular size, i just want to know if they are as iv never seen a HR x2 in the flesh to messure???
Any ideas anyone???

No idea about the whole
No idea about the whole cluster, what measurements do you need, I might have a spare one around here...
The individual gauges inside the cluster can be taken out and they are similar to the design of a typical 2" cockpit style gauge.
I just wont this one..

HR X2 into HG fascia
The short answer is no,
The X2 guage set is larger than the HG guages. I'll probably have every man and his dog correct me but FROM MEMORY I think the HR guage is 5 or 6 inch diameter and the HG ones are 4 or 4.5 inch diameter. Even if they did fit you would have a snowball's chance in hell of finding one. 20 years ago I sold my HR through the Trading Post and had people offering to pay my asking price for the car and only take the X2 guages, leaving me the rest of the car to dispose of.What they didn't know was that I had 2 sets of X2 guages and the original guages, so I made 3 times my asking price!!

Is there a way i sould make a somewhat simular set up on my own???
I'v just got no idea of how to do it lol. I just really like that split gauge look is all. Im not into the GTS ones that come out like i said. Just not sure what i want to do.
I have also though about making my own instrument cluster alltogether. Any one have any experience with making one from scratch and buying all the seperate gauges???

The concept is quite simple,
The concept is quite simple, get the innards of a fuel gauge, oil gauge and temp gauge and put them all into one gauge cluster, the problem is making/getting a gauge face and making that look aesthetically pleasing. The inside of an X2 gauge are just three separate removable gauges and the fixed amp gauge, which I'm not a fan of wiring up anyway.
Yeah but where can one find
Yeah
but where can one find then??? or some seperate aftermarket gauges i could use and still have them look simular to an X2 setup??

Any of the 2" VDO cockpit
Any of the 2" VDO cockpit variety of gauges will do with the correct temperature ranges and oil pressure ranges. The only thing that makes an X2 gauge look like an X2 gauge is the face and the needles. Good luck trying to fabricate one of these. If I were to attempt it I'd use an old fuel gauge cluster casing as the fuel gauges are the same just with a different face.
