HP 308, whats the story?
I was walking through a wrecking yard toady (Adelaide) and came across a early commodore, with a short holden v8 in it. four inch bore, oh is it a 308? look at the side of the block and it had 'HP' cast on the side of it. Had a look inside the car and there was a pair of big port/big valved heads equipped with double valve springs to go with it. My question is, does anyone know what this motor may have originally came out of? its painted blue but anyone could have done that. If an any one wants to know where it is i will tell them, it doesn't bother me.

i'm unsure how many or how long they had HP on them, all i know the first of the 308's had it

First HP blocks came in HT Brougham.
