floor plobems in my ute

hi fellas
i took the seat and floor mat out of my wb ute and its being in family since new and i think my stupid grandad put [Naughty Pottyword]in newspaper between the rubber floor mat and the floor and yup you gussed the thing is rusted but lucky for me i only found 1 little hole size of a little fingernail in the left side, but where the floor bends upto the fire wall on the left sidesort of where it meets the kick penalsort of in that corner if you get what i mean, hard to discribe but any way its rusted in a line down there, so what do yas think coz i removed about 3 lits of rust from the cabin floor (litres came from coz i put the stuuf in to a bucket) so any way my point is weld up the line and hole and with what sort of welder ?? or what?? and will the floor still be strong enough with the 3 lts of rust removed or what what can i do please help coz i stuck for ideas

There are floor pan repair panels available from Rare Spares....
These are pre formed to the shape of the floor and are the easiest way to do the job because the edges finish up where the metal is strong and not rusty....if you can get hold of a small Gas-less MIG it will do the job nice and easy...weld an inch leave an inch....keep going around the whole of the plate...paint the effected portion of the old floor with rust converter first..floor will then last a lifetime (cars...not yours silly)
