Loose Windows

I've just got around to fitting new bailey channels in my HZ ute and to try and stop the wind whistle and the windows from falling out. But unfortunatly after installing the new bailey channels the windows now fall out every time the window is wound down.

Is there any what of stopping the windows falling out of the tracks?

window

Window shouldn't fall out, unless the runner (plastic roller) and track are worn out. It is highly unlikely the track is worn, which leads back to the runner. They do become brittle with age and do break.

Failing that, it could only be one (or both) of the regulator arms which may be bent (If it is drivers side, it is very common problem.)

do u mean when the window is

do u mean when the window is wound all the way down it falls out..maybe check the stoppers that prevent this from falling out of the runners.

windy

If you wind the window right down and close the door the windows will fall out of the bailey channel. So when i try to wind it back up again it doesnt work because its not in the bailey channel track.

Windows

I would be checking to ensure all screws are fastened that hold the track in place.

The vibration from closing the door is enough to bump the window back out thus causing the frustration.

It really does sound like the Regulator is bent and/or the track has moved and/or is not seating the glass properly.

If the Regulator is bent, it does not matter what you do, it will still cause grief.

Also if the bailey channel is not fitted into the track, the glass will jump out.

If everything is fitted correctly and there is no damage to any of the components the door glass cannot move out of the bailey channel as this is it's purpose, to keep the glass in place.
