Dedicated LPG fuel guage.

G'day, Am about to turn GREEN with the HJ, apparently it would be a big job to have the LPG fuel sender hooked up the the original dash guage. Anyone done this? I don't really want to have the led lights under my radio and a dash fuel guage not working. Cheers, |

lpg fuel gauge
its not really a problem if you tell your installer you want to use this.
apa sell different on-tank gauges with different ohm's of resistance to match up to factory gauges. the on tank gauge sends a signal to the dash gauge.
unsure of other makes of tank, but if one company does it, there may be more doing it.
Guage.
That sounds much easier than fabricating something, which is what was considered.

How did you go with the LPG fuel sender hooked up the the original dash gauge.? Ive got 2 tanks and haven't got mine going after 2 people working on it..

as bens all ready said apa sell different on-tank gauges with different ohm's of resistance to match up to factory gauges. for two tanks they say use half resistance senders on each tank as the tanks are both connected to a static valve and run together anyway i just run the gauge off 1 tank it works well enough. now to work out what resistance sender you need?
