Can anyone explain to me the correct way to adjust the timing with these gears. I don’t understand why there are why there are one set of marks on the inside of the crank gear and a different set on the outside.
The marks on the inside line up with the crank key and the marks on the outside line up with the mark on the cam gear. For example if you want to set the timing 2 degrees advanced the crank key lines up with the inner +2 marking and then the mark on the cam gear is lined up with the outer +2
