7" are the norm. Others may argue but 7" will fit without scrubbing. You may want to check with the local laws in your area as to how big you can go legally.

Please use, Holdenpaedia will get the first box on the left side. Post any suggestions.

7" will fit with 205/60/13 tyres. Nankang make about the only tyres you can get in this size now.
You might have to roll the front mudguard lips if you don't have stiffer front suspension.
In all states 7" rims are illegal on an EH. The reason is that they will widen the track by more than 1".
Having said that, I have had 7" wheels on every EH I have owned over the last 45 years.
The only comment I have ever had from a copper was "nice wheels."
I have never had any trouble with rego inspections. When our EH got engineered, the inspector wasn't worried about them.

Old is good.

I fitted 14" to an fc in the 60's but the rims were reversed on the centres to miss the suspension.
No problem with guards but the car was not lowered.
As above, offset would be illegal today, but here in Qld I see illegal cars all the time and providing they don't draw the krabs(cops)they seem to be let go.
Wheels came off a HK

I saw an LJ torana with 14's yesterday, HQ pattern with HQ caps and chrome dress trim, looked good

I used to run 7” on an EK Ute, the fronts would rub the front guards when turning. I can’t recall the tyre size but they where quite ballonee

I have 15x7 on the rear of mine with 225/50/15 tyres and don't rub.
