Supra W58 into EH

I am currently in the process of fitting a W58 5 speed Supra box into my EH sedan with 202 red. I am after a slip yoke for the gearbox end of the tailshaft. I have seen on the internet (Dellows) that there are a couple of different types for holdens one is for V8/V6/6 cyl red 1 tonner and the other for holden 6 red/blue/black etc. I am a little confused as I have the V8 one and it fits into the box and onto tailshaft no problem. Can anybody tell what the difference is between the two types and can I use the V8 one ??

Thanks

If it fits the gearbox and your tailshaft it should be fine.
I think the only difference between the yokes would only be the size of universal they were made to fit.
What crossmember are you using? If you are handy with fabrication I would recommend making it. I think the best way would be to cut the centre out of the Holden crossmember, put two wertical steel plates on the cut ends, then fit a shortened Toyota crossmember in it. This would let you keep the Toyota damper bolt in the mount.
We've got a CRS crossmember in our EH and the back of the gearbox is a bit lower than I would like it to be.

Old is good.

Thanks mate, my thoughts exactly. Have fabricated a mount using original auto crossmember and sits nice.
