WB wipers not working correctly.

When i turn my wipers off,the wipers dont continue to the seat position. Instead they stop where ever they happen to be when i turn the switch off. Ive replaced bith the motor & the swith, but it hasnt changed a thing. Has anyone had this before,& how do i rectify it. Dr

The root cause was greed

did you replace the motor with a second hand one ? If so do you know if it was parking correctly? I've had this problem and it was a poor connection within the motor parking contacts itself. Also make sure the motor is correctly earthed to the body with the strap. The motor should have 12V to the low speed brush (with wiper switch off) until the park switch opens. As Hz tonner states its worth checking the dwell control as well (if it's fitted - they were on Statesman's and an option only on commercials)
