Evening all, first time poster
I have a 67 HR Special and am in the middle of working out how the washer pump operates.
With wipers on it pumps fine, however once it gets to the flat spot on the lower washer pump gear, nothing will get it back to pumping unless I physically turn the wheel for it to lock in again. Could this be a problem with the solenoid or is there something else I'm not seeing.

Any help greatly appreciated

Is the earthstrap attached? Like I said, just a guess..

Actually, just thinking, none of my old Holdens ever pumped washers unless the wipers were on. Maybe it's normal, or am I reading it wrong?

These are the work of the devil. I have worked on several of these idiotic over engineered things and found they must be really well lubricated and the solenoid needs to be in top working order, which they seldom are. Gut it and fit a regular motorized washer pump inside the housing and wire it to the existing connectors and no one will know. The ones I've had working are pathetic and don't pump much at all. Not worth the exercise.
