wb idler arm

Can someone give me the procedure to fit a wb idler arm ?

I've looked at youtube clips but all video show idler arm supports which are fixed not turned in or out.

I guess you turn the support bracket all the way in and then back it off 1 turn ?

Thanks for any help.

Not aware of any particular spec but idler needs to fully turned into mount and then backed out enough to allow full travel of drag link when turning lock to lock, this may be more or less than 1 turn, I remember it is a very course thread,

Goes a little something like this.........
First, jack up your car😊, and support on stands. Loosen the big nut on the drag link. Undo the nuts holding the idler to the chassis rail. Wind the support all the way in, taking note of how many turns. This will show you where to set the new one. Wind out the support and undo the big nut. The large nut is easier to fully tighten when the idler is fully installed. If it’s already apart and no turns have been counted you may need to assemble it with the support wound out half a turn and check for binding. I do remember the number of turns not being much, because of the course thread.
