Fuel pump and Vacuum pump combined

My FC Wagon came with combined fuel/vacuum pump but now I have fitted an electric wiper set up and the vacuum side of the pump is not plumbed up or needed it makes a whistling noise which can be stopped by plugging off one of the vacuum connection points at the base of the pump. I realise I could replace pump with just a fuel pump and get away with this noise problem. Any reasons why just blocking off an actuating vacuum side of the pump would cause a problem long term.
Thoughts and ideas appreciated from those who have solved this on there cars. Thanks FC25250

You'll need to plug the connection at the carb end or the mixture will be lean with undesirable consquences ( flat spopts etc)

Going to a pump without the vacuum module will be more reliable long term.
You might be able to make a quid selling the olf vacuum pump to an FC purist.

Like yourself, I would want the electric wipers. The vacuum wipers slow down considerably when the manifold vacuum goes away (wide throttle & low RPM).
