Statesman Saturday Night

picked up this 81 Caprice - all original except for radio with every service/record receipt from the day it left the factory - 12 months ago for $4K..so still out there if you look hard enough...spent about $600 on general tidy up and basic mech stuff so far inc some electrical gremlins and 1inch lowered springs...A/C needs some attention - next summer - even the vacuum operated cruise control works.. overall a ripper for the price...had one 20 years ago...smooth as...just burbles and wafts along...no ball of flames...they never were...126kW! Just another bit of trivia the Statesman was never marketed or used the term Holden ...the make actually appears as Statesman on the registration certificate and in the owners manual etc there is only ref to the term GMH...so there was a deliberate ploy to make the Statesman buyer have the illusion it wasn't a Holden but of course everyone knew different...Poor Man's Limo...lol
