Not-so-old Holden..

Guys, my VP Commonbore front doors are a pain in the ar$e to close. Slightly open the windows, they shut OK. Back doors, perfect, they shut with a slight *click*, as they should. The car is very low K's, so it's not worn out. Anyone got a quick fix for them please?

like you may have a bit of an air lock somewhere.I know some utes and Tonners? have a flap in the vent so when you close the door it pushes the air out,try checking any vents maybe?...
OR,it could be your hinge pins?...
Has it only been doing it since you put new hoodlining in or always since you've bought it?...

I think there all a bit like that Timbo, both my old VT and my statto are a bit finicky, you cant just ket the door close like the good old holdens, you have to almost slam them to get them to close bast the seal they create when closing, cant just kick em closed with ya foot after ya drag a armfull of stuff out of the car, you almost need a back swing and let rip.

Yeah, I'm thinking the airlock thing sounds good Al, but I reckon the worn pins may be the go. And yeah Lesbo, you've more or less gotta slam the door to shut it. The window down a smidge helps, but probably the hinge.
I just hope someone following may have a quick fix?
Oh, and Al, always done it from what I can remember.

Pins are a piece of p1ss to knock out, so easy to replace, i also found on the VT that the spring thing that holds door open got all gummed up and made it hard to close door, maybe a spray of wd40 on that see if it helps, mine was so bad before i got told about it, that it actually fatigued the metal on the door from it flexing before spring slider moved that i had to weld up a crack in the door frame

I'll do some googling, find some pins. The door moves freely, but certainly feels like it's dropped.

If all else checks out you can try adjusting the striker plate slightly, mark it's position beforehand just in case you go too far.
