v8 conversion on wb ute

i have a few questions im running a 202 and trimatic on columm but want to do a v8 conversion with 308 and th400 gearbox what will i have to change for conversion on my wb ute

the radiator outlets are on a different side, you could change the springs but I found the 6 springs to be fine..engine pipes are different..some wiring may need to be lengthened, I changed a 202 trimatic to 253 trimatic and the tailshaft fitted ok but I think it may be a different length for turbo 400 - at least uni joint would be diff..btw do you really want a t400? WB had trimatic or TH350?..I've had all 3 in stock 308s..and all have been fine..if you have power steering you will need a new bracket...T400 may have a different rear transmission mount to trimatic....

Hi I've just done the 173 to 253 in me HQ
Traps I fell into to get certification included swapping out the Banjo to fit a Salisbury diff, that included fitting the bigger Uni driveshaft. Hence the ratio changed so did the speedo gears. Engine Mounts, plus radiator - (I went new V8 specs) lengthen the starter motor electrics, biggest problem was me putting it all together and restripping it to fix what I should have learn't

I just left the banjo on my Hx van...had a stock 253 with 3.55 ratio and never had any problems with it...the mistake I made was I bought a complete engine and trans inc engine pipes and radiator that had been sitting for a while and I should have changed the welch plugs before installing in the car...one started to leak so it was harder doing it after...anyway I assume he already has a Salisbury diff - according to my WB book the 6 cyl WB had the banjo replaced with a small salisbury except the 1 tonne which had a large salisbury...
