Putting the H back in the Q.

Well Putting the H back in the Q seems to be a distant hope that draws on, it's been 13 months of waiting. I just wanna drive her. Shes been at the garage for the last month, other cars come and gone, Days have turned to months waiting for the completion of those jobs, me trilogy dates back (just search the title) I needed the drive-shaft modified and everything tuned up, having the 3.55 Banjo reconditioned including brakes and electrically sorted, run individual pipes out each side. I shouted her a 350 CFM Holley - the issue with the auto required a replacement fitted, but that had to go back due to moisture detected in the pan. Each time was time required to re-fit everything come to 50 hours charged out, "put it on the tab".

Everything is forgotten on the day I was able to bring her home - "and not on the trailer either". Oh my it sounds nice,

Then came the front assembly once it the back shed, bolted on the guards and nose cone, bumper and lights, I'd been round all the connections and took them to clean wire. Final fitting of the drive-shaft safety-loop and that front seat (errrr), but now it goes to certification and little did I know that Banjo was not gonna stay, so I found a 3.55 Salisbury and located a 3.08 crownwheel and pinion ex au. But was sold a lemon as the pinion had rust through the case harding and the garage refused to put it in, hey them things are hard to find - but have got one now and another driveshaft. The certification list was only 5 jobs, just one to go, but then that dreaded phone call come, the mechanic went to move the ute and got a bit confused with the order of the B&M Shifter and drove her under the work bench, giving her a fair ol smack in the nose "Bugger", so stuck now to the New Year, shes off back to the panelshop to line everything back up.

Since then The War Office has provided a new list, Oh well I only get 10 minutes I best get back to the garden. KX
