MODEL 'L' 82311 ????

I have had a torana sitting in the shed for years but have never looked at the plates until recently pulling her out to start work. Upon inspection of the body identification plate I noticed it has stamped under MODEL only a single L with the following numbers 82311 but no C or J after the L and before the numbers.the plates are in good condition and there is no marks on the plate where there should be a C or J.So my question is this, 'is this common?
