WB Caprice Rear Ride Height

was wondering if someone could tell me what the standard rear ride height should be with std 15 inch rims and 225/60 tyres and where you have taken measurement from eg ground to lower edge of chrome trim of wheel arch...Mine is sitting quite high, the service records show it was fitted with some h/d pedder springs - the part number corresponds to std height but the old fella I bought the car off said he had higher springs fitted for towing his van and they look like it to me. So not sure to purchase some std height springs or 30mm lowered ones to improve the stance - I dont need to tow - any advice appreciated - the front if anything looks a tad low...

On early Commodores ride height is measured from the top of the wheel arch to the bottom of the wheel rim. Hk ht hg it's measured from the bump stop to its contact point. Dunno about hq wb but id imagine that it to avoids the tyres.

ok so using that method gives me 550mm on the front and 590mm on the back - so to be even the back needs to drop by about 40mm. What I don't know though is if the back is std or raised and the front is std or lowered so hoping someone else who has same vehicle could provide a ref point. If the back has been raised I need std springs or if its std I need lowered springs. I could remove a rear spring and look for one about 40mm lower but spring compression also becomes a factor - id prefer to do myself to save some $$
