GTS dash wiring

I've got a HQ premier and in the process of putting a GTS dash into it.The car came with GTS clock already in the dash,my question is can you put a GTS dash in using the standard wiring loom as I have been unable to get a GTS wiring loom.I have all the gauges and was wondering if you can cut the oil warning light wire, the temperature warning light wire which come on in the standard fuel gauge and put electrical connectors and plug them into the back of the gauges.I am happy to run independent wires for the tachometer but I want to try and utilise the existing loom if possible.Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to start cutting into the loom if it won't work.Cheers Sean

I'm 100% sure the oil and temp senders are different for gauges than tell tales.

Yes, you can use the existing wiring loom and change the connectors to suit the GTS gauges.

Note that the pair of small gauge clusters will require that the metal back plates are grounded, or the gauges won't work properly.

Also, you will need to replace the current senders for oil and temp to the correct type for gauges, as the current ones only act as a switch to turn on the warning respective lights for oil temp etc.

The dash loom colours should be the same for warning lights or gauges, so you have a guide there.

I think from memory that you have to run separate wires to the coil for the tacho as I don't think there is a feed in the standard HQ Harness.
