collapsible steering column

Hi All
I am putting a V8 chev into my EK and i was hoping to get some advice from someone who has already done this before. As part of the RTA requirments from rego in NSW is to fit a collapsible steering column but i don which type to fit as i wish to keep the ignition on the dash instead of on the column.
Thanks

pete, i have no yet actually put the steering column into my EK but i am in the process of putting a V6 into it and i have looked at the options, only for holden columns and i have found that out of the Torana and Commodore columns the commodore has better mounting brackets than the Torana column, but i wish to have the blinkers/high beam flasher on the stick aswell as the commodore ignition switch. My advise would be to use a commodore column and cut the ignition switch bump off it, pull all that stuff out and then bog it up and paint it, if you do a good job who will ever know!! :)

Sammy.

The early HK to HG columns fit and have the required collapsible section, plus you retain the ignition on the dash. As a bonus you can connect the EK blinkers up to the switch in the column.
