Hey mate.
I just whacked Monroe GT Gas Shocks in my HQ Sedan.

You dont haveto change anything, ALTHOUGH it is a prick to get hte shockers in and out, mainly harder to get em out. Just give em a whack from beneath with a tyre iron or something.
Dont be affraid of scratching them ;)

Hope this helps yah

Shocks are easy to change.
Undo the top shock nut with a crescent, you may have to hold the top of the shock shaft with vicegrips, undo the two bottom shock mounts under the wishbone and the shock will pop down and out. Depending on how fat the shock is, you may have to grind the hole a wee bit bigger to fit the new ones. I have Koni adjustables in my Q Statesman and they fitted sweet as.
