oil pump to block gasket about $4
i looked on ebay, they have the full gasket kit for buy it now, $79
just wondering if there any good, the motor is stock
also thinking about the aussie 4 speed repair kit, i think there $50, the local bearing shop in maryborough sells a kit for $100
i gota decide if its worth buying the local kit as it should be warrenty, etc

So repco lives up to its name of
RIP EVERY POOR C&*T OFF
evilbay can be very good on prices & most of the parts are good quality. If not in a screaming hurry use ebay.
I have purchased heaps of stuff & i think it is great

Very good quality one too. Cost me $300. Same quality in the stores is about $800.
Stuff is cheaper because the sellers have virtually no overheads like shop rent, advertising etc.

I just bought some service gear for a 253 tonner from Repco. I have a trade account with them (in Brissy), anyway they didn't have a Z30 oil filter in the RYCO brand (only had cheap silverline brand), so I went to Auto Pro to get the oil filter and while there I compared some of the prices to the gear I had just picked up from Repco - seems like veight might be right, they (Auto Pro) were either similar price or slightly cheaper than my so called trade account,Hmmm! Looks like I'll be doing a bit of shopping around again. I don't know what other suppliers you have in Maryborough, but it certainly pays to shop around every now and then!
Cheers

The wreckers I used to work at used to reco gear boxes. The kits for the Aussie boxes cost $50.00. So anything over that will just be mark up. Go the E-bay one, as they will all be the same. There isn't a great deal of companies making reco kits for these boxes. As for the gaskets, just be sure that you buy ones that are made by a reputable brand.
Here in the city my local repco charged me $15.20 for a 308 sump gasket. $26.00 out your way aye. Repco obviously don't mind ripping off a bloke in the country.
Cheers.

Well this is good news to hear as I have to do the same with a 2nd hand 308 Ive just bought.
Thing is I've had good success with ACL race series in the past but ebay doesnt seem to list them, can anybody recomend Monotorque as a good set, particuarly the head gaskets in a hi-comp worked 308?
And hows Felpro compare also by the way?
Cheers, Nathan

I've used Monotorque in the past and had no dramas with them. Felpro are pretty ace gaskets. Had them in a few high performance motors, again no dramas.
How high a comp ratio are we talking?
Cheers.
