Modifying trimatic column linkages to fit extractors

Has anyone modified column linkages to fit extractors?
If so how do you guys do it?

I just welded another lug onto the rod that goes from the selector fork on the box to the body mount. The rod from the column connects to this lug , place it further out to clear extractor pipe , this done the job and did not affect gear change. Cut original lug off to tidy up.

no longer have that car but sounds like you are on the right track , If your issue is not being able to get full range because lug hits the extractor when rotated down ( I think that's low range ? ) just a matter of welding new lug further along rod where it doesn't hit the extractor and removing factory lug . I actually used a right angle bracket from the hardware which was almost perfect , just had to drill a hole in the right place to attach lever from column and nip the end off to match original length ( note that the distance of rod centre to column lever attaching hole is important to match factory distance )

Good luck with it anyway
