It's a bit of work, either machining and shortening HJ axles to fit in the EJ/EH housing or shortening a HJ type rear end.
Why not just get some HK HT HG 14" wheels or Volvo 14" wheels? They will all bolt straight on and save a lot of money and time.

Old is good.

..with the money you'd spend on changing the rear end over to HJ style you could buy yourself a set of custom stock-with-15"-bands rims. mob in Brisbane make them for speedway and have loads of options.

Volvo 15" steelies are also very nice to run - I'm actually aiming to get my next set of rims customed up with the same witch and offset as it makes the HT such a delight to drive.

I've got an HT and thought the same when I put the WB calipers on the front i.e. keep the HQ-WB stud pattern on the front and change the rear to a UC or etc that has the same pattern - ended up keeping stock rear drive and stud pattern and re-drilled front disks to suit HT. theory was that diffs and axels are likely the parts I'll need to change with no warning - and I'd rather keep them stock and easy to get than run custom axles that take a week to make when I'm broken down in Cobar etc.

I have a hr front end (not fitted yet) ive got hr stubs etc and I have hj stubs etc,i have very expensive sets of 13/14/15/16 inch mags , I would rather fit the hj stubs on the hr front end and have the same stud pattern on the rear so any ideas on which is the best/cheapest,yeah right, diff 2 install/modify
