You may have a Blocked Return Line.

Remove it from the Regulator and blow into it to make sure.

Holdenpaedia, they're the brakes Mate.

How is the fuel pressure regulator diaphragm? Disconnect it from the vacuum source and see if fuel is coming from the hose. Is it series 1 or series 2 VN? Black round fuel rails or shiny alloy with fins?

Make sure you have no vacuum leaks/cracks between the airflow sensor and the the engine.Other than that oxy sensor maybe?

Do a code check.(make sure not in "limp home mode")...or any codes.
...also USLESS INFO DEPT> The "Check Engine" light forms part of the diagnostic circuit...if the light doesn't work the computer will not work properly :)

It the temp sender for the computer ok/hooked up. This is not the same sender as the temp gauge.
Is the thermostat fitted and working.
Coil pack replaced...make sure the firing order was hooked up correctly
Perform an injector "leak down" test.
Grab another set of plugs......if you have fouled them up real bad you can fix the problem (fuel, spark whatever) but the plugs can still cause MAJOR dramas if badly fouled.
Check no plugs cracked and gapped properly.
Make sure all leads ok AND firing order is correct.
throttle position switch fitted correctly..adjusted and working.

Is the return line for the fuel working..as in fuel making it back to the tank....too much fuel pressure will create lots of probs.

Introduce extra air (take off a vacuum hose on the manifold) or reduce the amount of fuel (lightly clamp fuel feed hose...brake lock-offs or multigrips with the teeth taped up) to see if you can improve. NO this doesn't fix it but may help point you in the right direction.

failing that....drop round and I'll have a look :-O

Does it fire at all or does it simply crank and never fire?

With so much fuel getting in I'd expect it to kick at least. If not, check the plugs actually show spark.

WHAT!!!!!!!..NO Diagnostic plug!!!??...how the ^%$)(&! does that work!!

Sorry Rick, but I'm not sure how much more help I can give via the Net...and I'm not planning a trip to QLD in the near future :(

Even the Race-cars at the local Speedway have a switch you can flick to bridge the Black and Black/White wires to do a Code check. I gotta tell you, I am blown away that there is no way to do a Code check....its one of the great things about the good ol' Delco 808 computer.
Don't think I'll buy a CRS kit any-time soon.
