Cheap, Fast, Good - pick two.
If its cheap and its fast - it wont be good.

Thanks Redbeard- actually the going joke on the 502 towie - 48 Maple leaf is that it will be a motorhome b4 its a tow truck....not a bad idea really....
Kum 66 is best explained by the fact Kim is a Kiwi - so how do Kiwis pronounce 'Kim'?....Thoughts so...66 is just her vintage...I really didnt think they would hand out that plate - if the car dosent get yer attention then the plate will- we had heaps of people pointing at the plate and laughing yesterday.... ah well -makes a change from pointing at me and laughing.....
This car is now her daily driver....its what she wanted...
Cheers streetneat....
PS: the good bit from here on in all my projects are now chevy V8 powered..... :-)

There are cars and there are cars.

Don't mean to embarrass you by saying this ,but "I admire your dedication".I followed this one (also)in "the shed" and its a beautiful piece of work.I should call it an "artwork" but I also noticed the enormous amount of hard work that has also been put in to push it to completion. It's lovely car and I suspect "better than new". I imagine that it is probably a tribute to Mrs Streetneat?

Its just so easy to see the FC 's origins in the 55 Chev.

Edburt.

This car apart from being Transport for Mrs streetneat was another in the 'have to build ' list. Keen observers will be aware of the FC Ute - its the other 'Tribute' car,
The story goes like this - when growing up the neighbors had several old Holdens on their farm. Two most memorable ones to me were the Blue FC Ute and the Terracotta over Adobe Beige FC Sedan.
The Ute ground to a halt in fron of the Chook pen over thirty years ago - and stayed there until just very recently. The sedan sat in the front yard for over twenty five years. ( scrap metal merchants took the sedan away.
So I built a tribute Ute- and parked it beside the wreck and took plenty of happy snaps.
Now we have built the tribute sedan - barely in time -as the neighbors is now sold and the new owners have begun cleaning the entire place up. I will get a pic of the sedan in the resting place of the other - before all the old buldings are demolished.
So now we have the two main tribute cars - that can once again pound Kinross Rd as the originals would have done all those years ago.
The old neighbors got to see the Ute - and even be photographed in it....We have yet to show them the sedan - a bit hard as they have moved...
Our aim is to have a modest collection of our favourite Holdens. The count now stands at three- The HG Ute ( mums old car) is most likely next to be continued on with...or the Chopped EK Panel Van.
The race is on while we still have a farm here!- developers have bought up all around us and its anyones guess as to how much longer we have. This is the reason we are only taking on smaller resto jobs such as repaints - rather than major restores.
Full build ups of our cars- as well as some of our customers- can be seen at Streetneat.com or in the members sheds of this site.
Dont panic folks - there is a lot more to come from streetneat yet....
Cheers streetneat
