CAN ANY 1 TELL ME THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN COURSE SPLINE AXLE OUT OF A EJ, COMPARED 2 THE SAME AXLE OUT OF A hq /hj

Do you mean an axel...or the housing..or the diff centre??????

A HQ diff centre will fit into an EJ..you need to change the rear uni. EJ had 3.89 ratio only (I think) HQ had other ratios like 3.08, 3.36 and 3.55.

A Hq axel is longer that an EJ one, the spline is the same, the stud patern id different.

A HQ sedan or wagon diff housing is NOTHING like an EJ..too many brakets. A HQ ute or van or Tonner housing is similar (spring pads) but is waaaayy to wide.

THANX MUCHLY, I WAS HOPING A HQ/HJ AXLE WOULD GO STRAIGHT INTO MY EJ DIFF,BY THE WAY, I HAVE A PREMIER DIFF WITH 3.36 RATIO,I WANT 2 RUN HQ/HJ/HZ STUD PATTERN ON THE REAR,2 GO WITH MY HR FRONT END WITH THE HJ STUBS/HUBS/DISCS ETC ETC

i thought all the HQ-wb stuff was 28 fine spline and the course was 26 spline
