Oil sender/light wires for VH SL/E tacho cluster conversion

I scored a 6cyl VH SL/E tacho dash with the oil sender and tacho/oil pressure patch lead over the weekend and plan to connect it up to my VC L one night this week.

My concern is with the the patch lead.... It has three wires.
My understand of the way they connect is as follows

Brown: Negative side of coil for tacho
Dark Blue #1: Oil sender
Dark Blue #2: Splice into oil light wire on round cluster plug

If correct, does it matter which dark blue wire is connected to the oil light or oil sender?
If incorrect, could someone please explain the correct way to wire it?

You need a different oil pressure switch. Your current one would be just a warning light when oil pressure drops below a certien psi. as for the tacho should be pretty straight forward, can't help you with the wiring colous though
